We know COVID-19 is on your mind right now. It’s on everyone’s mind and there are so many conflicting viewpoints and misunderstandings about what’s safe and what’s not.

Is it safe to go to the dentist during COVID-19?

If your dentist is being proactive and taking the right precautions, the risk of COVID-19 transmission can be greatly reduced. Practices that aren’t taking the right precautions should be avoided.

Here’s what we’re doing at Austin Dental:

  • Upgraded our officeWe’re using UV sanitation, have improved our HVAC system, and are using ozonated water and ionization therapy to kill pathogens and add an extra layer of protection for our patients and team.
  • Changed our office protocols – We’ve closed our waiting room (this makes us sad because it’s so welcoming, but it’s the smartest choice right now). We encourage you to wait in your car and complete “paperwork” virtually. We’ll meet you at the door, check your temperature, and walk you right back to your treatment room. Minimum contact and maximum safety are our goals.

A message from Dr. Olivares

Hello to our Austin Dental community!

We just wanted to give a quick update on our practice and how we have adapted to this new COVID-19 environment we find ourselves in.

Nothing has been more rewarding than knowing that our patients trust us to care for their dental needs in such uncertain times.

As a reminder, while safety has always been a top priority for our entire team, Austin Dental has implemented new and additional protocols and personal protective equipment to elevate our safety standards to the next level. Temperatures are taken of each employee before entering the building and of each patient prior to initiating treatment. Additionally, all patients are asked COVID-19 screening questions when making an appointment, confirming an appointment, and at the time of the appointment.

We’ve invested in air purification units throughout the office to improve air quality and have installed UV air filtration systems that kill any germs or bacteria that can cause illness. We’ve also installed an ozone generator for our water supply. This adds an additional layer of protection in eliminating the virus in our environment. We’ve taken great care to assure that your visit with us will be safe and stress-free. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Here’s what a patient recently had to say about their experience at Austin Dental:

Really, really good experience. First time going to dentist during this new COVID-19 era, but service was awesome. Took time to explain my options and got me taken care off. Also worked with my work schedule since I actually work in Killeen. I would definitely go back. – Ehigie O.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the future

COVID-19 won’t be around forever. If you’re choosing a dentist today, start thinking about what your relationship with your dentist will look like in the future. Will you look forward to seeing the dentist or will appointments be something you keep putting off until you have a bad toothache that needs to be looked at immediately. Will your dentist be someone who’s looking out for your health or judging you for not brushing perfectly?

At Austin Dental, we know you want a good relationship with your dentist.

The problem is it’s hard to find someone you can trust with your oral care and that can lead to anxiety. At Austin Dental, we believe that visiting the dentist should never feel bad. We understand that getting your family to act on their oral health can be like pulling teeth.

That’s why we have created a practice of experienced dentists committed to all aspects of your oral health. We’re here to help you and your family make a safe, smart, and healthy choice if you’re looking for a new dentist during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s what Austin Dental does differently

Before, during, and after COVID-19, our philosophy is simple:

Going to the dentist should never feel bad.

That’s it. There’s no need to make it more complicated.

Of course, the devil is in the details that so many other dentists overlook or just don’t think about at all. At Austin Dental, we believe the way to make sure you feel good about every visit is through collaboration and communication.

We don’t…

We do…

Lecture, judge, or talk down to our patients

Listen, educate, and answer your questions
